Join Carl Sayer: Professor of Limnology & Freshwater Ecology, University College London and a co-founder and Director of the Norfolk Ponds Project (NPP) as he partners with the Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme (BFER) for a fascinating talk on pond restoration and discover the hidden world of pond conservation.

In this special webinar for parish councils, Carl will be sharing his first-hand experiences in pond restoration. The session will cover:

  • An introduction to ghost ponds and pingos

  • The benefits to wildlife from restoring ponds

  • Practical insights into the pond restoration process

  • Key considerations and actionable steps for parish councils interested in creating or maintaining ponds in their area

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, offering an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how your community can get involved in pond conservation.
