Parish Clerk

Salary:  The salary will be paid in accordance with the National Joint Council Salary Scale rates and will reflect the applicant’s skills, qualifications and experience. 

Hours: 5 hours per week (mostly working from home and mostly flexible)

Whilst experience in local government would be ideal it is not essential. Comparable experience from organisations involving formal Committee work (e.g. agenda preparation, minute taking), implementation of policies, the provision of advice and guidance on statutory and legislative matters, and financial administration would be recommended. The candidate would be expected to undertake Clerk’s training with the Suffolk Association of Local Councils. This would be provided and funded by the Council.
