Attend our drop-in information session
Join our drop-in information session taking place on Monday 24th June at 12 noon, online.  We will be joined by Lesley Beevor, SALC Trainer, along with Sally Longmate, SALC CEO and Jim Friend, SALC Advice Manager.   This information session is FREE to attend and we welcome clerks and councillors.

You must be logged into the SALC member portal to book your place, councillors, please ask your clerk to book on your behalf.

Following the release of the NEW Model Financial Regulations (FRs) we confirm that the version circulated is the current live copy and no further changes will be made to allow this brand new model template settles in.

Please follow the guidance notes on the front which provide information on how to adapt and customise to suit your council's needs by removing what you don't need to use remembering to update page numbers and titles.

The template is aligned with current legislation and like Model Standing Orders anything in bold indicates a legal requirement which a council cannot change or suspend.

We are aware of some formatting errors which were not spotted before release.  County Associations have been asked to collect queries/errors and send these through to NALC.

Please submit any enquiries regarding the new model through your SALC member portal this is our preferred method of collating queries from Suffolk councils.

If your council has yet to download the new template please use the member portal template area and search Financial Regulations.
