Budgeting Workshop

Financial management and accountability are crucial issues for councils. Budgeting properly for the needs of the council is an important part of the financial year and an essential part of the risk management of the council.

Getting the budget wrong can have financial and reputational implications and can result in consequences under the external audit regime.

Clerks, Responsible Financial Officers and councillors all need to know what is expected from the budgeting process.

The budget workshop covers everything a council needs to know about putting together the annual budget.
